The Coral Gables Museum is looking for memories and artifacts to include in its opening exhibitions.
Right now, we are looking for interesting personal stories and memories that help tell the long and fascinating story of The Biltmore in all its phases – from luxury hotel to Army and VA Hospital to near abandonment and back to luxury hotel.
Everyone has a Biltmore story, and probably a souvenir or two that may have been passed down from generation to generation. The Coral Gables Museum would like to hear your story and learn about your historical collection.
Here are some very easy ways to tell us your story:
• leave a 200 word description of your Biltmore memory in the form below and submit it to us.
• send us a letter or postcard with a 200 word description of your memory to:
Biltmore Memories
Coral Gables Museum
PO Box 141687
Coral Gables, FL 33114
• stop by the Coral Gables Museum temporary offices at 275 Giralda in downtown Coral Gables any Thursday afternoon from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. and meet with a staff member who would be glad to hear your story
If you have any artifacts, souvenirs or memorabilia you would like us to consider, please send us a list or a digital photograph at the same addresses. At this time we do not want you to bring in any original items.
If your story or objects are of further interest, we will follow up for a more in-depth interview and to look at your items in person.
