100 Years of Humanitarian Partnership: The American Red Cross in South Florida / February 2 - May 7 2018

Join us for an enthralling look back on the founding of the South Florida Red Cross as Red Cross Archivist, Susan Watson speaks about the objects on view in our current exhibition 100 Years of Humanitarian Partnership:  The American Red Cross in South Florida.

Susan Robbins Watson is an archivist and the manager for historical programs and collections with the American Red Cross. She is responsible for administering public programming, responding to inquiries, developing exhibits, and overseeing the care and conservation of the historical collections, which include artwork, artifacts, audiovisual materials, textual records, and photographs.

Susan’s academic background includes a MA in Public History from North Carolina State University and a BS in Clothing and Textiles from East Carolina University. Her post-graduate career includes employment with the NASA History Office, American Association of Family and Consumer Sciences, Smithsonian Institution, and the North Carolina Department of Cultural Resources. Susan began her tenure with the Red Cross in March of 2000.
