Dream City presented by Dade Art Educators Association, Inc.

February 1-22, 2013

Coral Gables was designed to reflect George Merrick’s dream of European ambiance in an early 20th century South Florida development. Motifs from other countries were incorporated into a new hybrid architecture. The residential landscape was designed to bring European character to a natural Florida environment. Now, in the 21st century, the DAEA poses the questions: What are our dreams for urban living and landscape? What ambiance do we seek in urban design and living? Enjoy the visions of what artists consider to be ideal today.
