Federico Carosio III: Coral Gables and Surrounding Landscapes

This solo exhibition of original works by Federico Carosio III will feature large-scale, acrylic paintings of streetscapes and landscapes in Coral Gables. Carosio captures the essence of what landscape architect Frank Morse Button aimed to achieve when he planted exotic, lush trees along the freshly paved boulevards of the 1920s Coral Gables development.

Federico Carosio III is a self-taught artist whose work captures the intense light and rich colors of South Florida from the sun-drenched beaches of Key West and Miami Beach to the tree-shaded streets of Coconut Grove. Carosio’s photo-realistic interpretations bring to life the region’s lush tropical splendor. Carosio’s landscapes and streetscapes have made him one of South Florida’s most recognizable painters.
