The Natural World Along Tamiami Trail

A solo exhibition by celebrated photographer Clyde Butcher, this exhibit encourages you to open your eyes and see the natural beauty that exists along the ‘trail’. Clyde has lived in the Big Cypress National Preserve for twenty years and as he drives back and forth along Tamiami Trail he carries a camera in order to capture those moments when the light is right along the road. He has photographed the images in this exhibit using a large format 8″x10″ view camera. The quality of the negative persuades the eye to take a closer look at the intricate detail in the natural world that is found along the trail, with the hope that you will see the beauty surrounding you and remember that it is up to you to see that it remains healthy for the next generation.
