Our Kids Camp programs are hands-on, dedicated to exploring the civic arts of architecture, urban design, historical and environmental preservation, and sustainable development through the arts, as well as to introducing children to all types of artistic experiences.

Typically, children are divided into two groups depending on the program they attend. They learn about the importance of our natural and built environments through related field trips, guest speakers, gallery learning activities, and arts and craft activities. Campers will use the Museum exhibits and the city itself as a classroom.

Kids Camps are offered during Spring, Summer, and Winter breaks, as scheduled on the Miami-Dade County Public Schools (MDCPS) calendar. Camps take place on weekdays from 9 am – 3 pm. Depending on staff availability, we may offer before and after-care for an additional fee. Please inquire before registering your child.

The safety and health of campers and staff is always the highest priority at Coral Gables Museum’s Camps. We are employing best preventative practices regarding COVID-19 and will meet or exceed Miami-Dade County guidelines for safely operating a spring camp. We are committed to serving Coral Gables and the greater community at large, providing a welcoming, educational and—most importantly—safe space for our campers.

Sponsorship Opportunities

Sponsorship funding has provided many families in need with scholarship opportunities to attend Camps at the Coral Gables Museum. In 2015, the Museum was able to award over 30 scholarships. However, many families were turned away due to lack of funding. These scholarships are vital to providing a high-quality, educational and cultural experience to families in our community experiencing financial hardships.

A title sponsorship opportunity for CGM Children Camps will increase a company’s visibility, awareness, and most importantly, the ability to build a meaningful relationship with the community. All opportunities are customizable to sponsor’s needs. Fees and more details provided upon request.

Among the benefits of sponsorship are:

  • Logo and credit line on scholarship application
  • Logo, credit line and link on email blasts to CGM’s 9,000+ email list
  • Logo and link on Museum website
  • Logo on all promotional material
  • Acknowledgement in Museum e-newsletter
  • Thank you via Museum Facebook page

“I have 2 grandkids in France and 2 more in South Carolina. They all know the museum well and have all attended various spring and summer camps over the years. This year, like everyone else, they are in lockdown and unable to come to Miami. However, thanks to all your efforts, they have been very engaged and feel very connected to the museum. Your online outreach has proved not only educational and entertaining, but morale boosting as well… and we all need a bit of that I think!”

Elizabeth Anderson
