Bringing Orchids to Coral Gables: Celebrating the Building’s 80th Anniversary

Remarks by Deena Bell-Llewellyn of The City of Coral Gables support on the Orchid Replenishing of Coral Cables

Jason Downing PhD and Research Scientist at Fairchild Gardens for the “Million Orchid Project” will lead a discussion and workshop on Planting of Orchids

 

Admissions Fee?             FREE

 

When?                                  February 16, 2019 10.00 AM to 2.00 PM

 

Why?                                    Reintroducing native orchids as a community effort and the residents combining with the Coral Gables Museum, Fairchild Gardens and The City of Coral Gables to beautify our streetscape.

 

Where?                                Coral Gables Museum Community Center & Courtyard

 

What?                                   Replenishing vanishing native orchids in Coral Gables one tree at a time.

 

How?                                     Orchids will be given out for free so that they can be inserted in the homes of the residents. In addition Orchids will be handed out to locate and install along

 

Cost?                                     The Orchids are Free (One per Resident)
