South Beach Chamber Ensemble presents two masterpieces of the string quartet repertoire: Schubert’s String Quartet No. 13 in A minor (Rosamunde), a late chamber work infused with lyrical depth and emotional contrast, and Dvořák’s String Quartet No. 12 in F major, Op. 96 (American), composed during his time in the United States and celebrated for its vibrant folk-inspired themes. Together, these works highlight the expressive range of chamber music, from Schubert’s poignant Romantic voice to Dvořák’s joyful synthesis of folk idioms and symphonic tradition.
