May 13th, 2022 – July 20th, 2022

Anthony R. Abraham Family Gallery

This exhibition encompasses a great variety of works by Miami-based artist Zammy Migdal (Israel, 1957). With a career of over fifteen years, Migdal has a significant artistic presence in public spaces both locally and internationally. His work is regarded for the poetry and subtlety of the forms that resemble the movement in dance, a discipline he feels very close to.

Internal Knot will present not only a selection of his more popular sculpture and installation work but also recent, unedited paintings and mixed-media pieces. While most approaches to the artist’s work tend to focus on its abstract quality, this show proposes new readings – it highlights biographical facts and personal narratives that help audiences navigate through Migdal’s fascinating and meaningful oeuvre.

*The show will be accompanied by a series of related programs, including lectures and tours with the artist. It is curated by Coral Gables Museum’s Chief Curator, Yuni Villalonga.
