Welcome to the Paist & Steward Giving Society
The funds raised through the Paist & Steward Giving Society support the annual operation of the Coral Gables Museum and provide a foundation for this institution to thrive. In addition to supporting innovative and thought-provoking exhibitions, annual giving funds will help provide enhancements to educational offerings, lectures, publications, tours and events. All gifts are unrestricted and tax-deductible as allowed by law.
Paist & Steward: Who were they?
Phineas E. Paist and Harold D. Steward joined forces in 1924 and formed Paist & Steward, Architects. In partnership, Paist & Steward designed many notable religious, commercial and public buildings in Coral Gables as well as the City of Miami. Their contributions to The City Beautiful include the design of the Granada Shops, San Sebastian Apartment Hotel, and City Hall. Their last and perhaps most signifi cant project was the 1939 Coral Gables Police and Fire Station, which today is home to the Coral Gables Museum.
Recognition
The CORAL GABLES MUSEUM will honor and recognize donors within the Paist & Steward Giving Society as follows:
ANNUAL WALL PLAQUE
At the end of each calendar year, the names of donors will be inscribed on a plaque that will be prominently displayed at the Museum throughout the following calendar year.
HONOR ROLL OF DONORS
In the Museum’s Annual Report, donors will be recognized alphabetically and by giving level.
ANNUAL BENEFACTOR EVENT
Donors will be invited by the Board of Directors to attend a private benefactor event in their honor.
Contributions Levels
The introductory giving level in the Paist & Steward Giving Society is $1,939 – derived from the year the original Police and Fire Station was completed. Additionally, annual donors who reach the $25,000 cumulative contribution or pledge level will be recognized as Denman Fink Circle Lifetime Contributors.

Please note: A 10-month payment schedule may be arranged with a credit or bank debit card. Those making a $25,000 or higher cumulative donation or pledge will be recognized in perpetuity as Denman Fink Circle Lifetime Contributors on both the Annual Wall Plaque and in the Honor Roll of Donors.
