In collaboration with the Coral Gables Fire Department

This exhibition celebrates the centennial of the Coral Gables Fire Department by delving into its rich history, intricately connected with our building which was designed to be the Coral Gables Fire Station and Police Department in 1939. The show gathers a treasure trove of historical artifacts, documents, and photographs which recently became part of our collection. They chronicle a century of evolution, milestones, challenges, and triumphs of this vital institution, from its humble beginnings to its modern-day advancements. They also highlight the dedication, bravery, and commitment to public safety of our firefighters, who have not only protected our community, but also risked their lives in events such as the Oklahoma City Bombing, or the 9/11 terrorist attacks.
