Moroccan Visions brings together works by Souad Byad, Mohamed Jaamati, Mostafa Naffi, and Hanae Elhjaji. Organized in collaboration with the Consulate General of the Kingdom of Morocco and the Moroccan American Council Association of South Florida, the program situates Moroccan painting within a broader cultural and historical framework, offering a focused perspective on its development and contemporary presence.

ARTISTS

Mostafa Naffi

Contemporary Moroccan artist born in 1954, working between painting and sculpture. Using wood and rigid materials, he creates layered compositions with perforations and relief that extend beyond the traditional canvas, exploring movement, space, and the rhythms of life.

Souad Byad

Contemporary artist exploring the human figure within staged, undefined spaces with a theatrical quality. Her work focuses on emotional intensity and existence, using expressive color to convey individuality and tension.

Hanae Elhjaji

A contemporary Moroccan artist from Agadir, her work explores chaos, order, and balance through acrylic and Posca marker on canvas. Her compositions transform emotion and intuition into structured visual forms.

Mohamed Jaamati

Moroccan visual artist born in 1961 in Tétouan, known for his role in advancing Moroccan visual arts. Trained in applied and visual arts, he also developed a career in education as a teacher, inspector, and member of academic juries.
