Paist & Steward Monthly Giving Program
The funds raised through the Paist & Steward Monthly Giving Program support the annual operation of the CGMand provide a foundation for this institution to thrive. In addition to supporting innovative and thought-provoking exhibitions, annual giving funds will help provide enhancements to educational offerings, lectures, publications, tours and events.
Paist & Steward: Who were they?
Phineas E. Paist and Harold D. Steward joined forces in 1924 and formed Paist & Steward, Architects. In partnership, Paist & Steward designed many notable religious, commercial and public buildings in Coral Gables as well as the City of Miami. Their contributions to The City Beautiful include the design of the Granada Shops, San Sebastian Apartment Hotel, and City Hall. Their last and perhaps most signifi cant project was the 1939 Coral Gables Police and Fire Station, which today is home to the Coral Gables Museum.
