Refund Policy
At Coral Gables Museum, we are committed to providing high-quality programs and events for our community. We understand that circumstances may arise that prompt questions regarding refunds. The following policy outlines our procedures for refunds in relation to event programming:
1. Event Continuity and Refunds
If the event or program for which you have registered proceeds as originally scheduled and planned, refunds will not be issued under any circumstances. This policy ensures that our resources are efficiently allocated to maintain the quality and integrity of our offerings.
2. Program Modifications by CGM
In the event that Coral Gables Museum initiates any significant changes to the program or event, including but not limited to changes in the date, time, location, or content of the program, registered participants will be eligible for a refund. Requests for refunds must be submitted within seven (7) days of receiving notification of such changes. The refundwill be processed to the original method of payment within ten (10) business days of the approved request.
3. Cancellation by CGM
If Coral Gables Museum cancels an event or program, all registered participants will receive a full refundautomatically. No action is required on the part of the participant.
4. Force Majeure
In circumstances where an event is canceled due to unforeseeable events beyond the control of Coral Gables Museum (e.g., natural disasters, public health emergencies), we will assess the situation and determine an appropriate course of action, which may include rescheduling the event or offering refunds.
5. Non-Refundable Fees
Please note that any service fees, processing fees, or similar charges are non-refundable, except in cases where the event is canceled or significantly altered by CGM.
6. How to Request a Refund
For eligible refund requests, please contact us at info@coralgablesmuseum.org with your order number and the reason for your request. All refund requests will be reviewed in accordance with this policy.
7. Acceptance of Policy
By registering for an event or program at Coral Gables Museum, participants acknowledge and accept the terms outlined in this refund policy.
This policy is designed to protect both the interests of our participants and the operational needs of Coral Gables Museum. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
Retail Purchases
The Coral Gables Museum Shop operates under a no-refund policy for all retail transactions. This includes merchandise purchased on-site or through the Museum’s official channels, as well as donations tied to product-based fundraising campaigns.
Final Sale Policy
All items purchased from the Coral Gables Museum Shop are considered final sale. Refunds and returns are not permitted, except under the specific conditions outlined below.
Defective or Incorrect Items
Refunds or replacements will be granted only in cases where merchandise is received in defective condition, is damaged during transit, or does not correspond to the original order. Claims must be submitted within seven (7) business days of receipt. Products must remain unused and in original packaging to qualify for review.
Fundraising and Customized Items
Items produced in connection with fundraising campaigns, including but not limited to engraved bricks, are custom-made and non-refundable once the order is submitted and processed. In cases where an error in personalization is attributable to Coral Gables Museum, corrective measures will be taken without additional cost to the customer.
Shipping Fees
Shipping and handling charges are non-refundable unless the return is a result of an error on the part of Coral Gables Museum.
Procedure for Submitting a Retail Refund Request
Customers seeking a refund due to an eligible issue must contact Stephanie Schweinberg at stephanie@coralgablesmuseum.org. Requests must include the order number, a detailed explanation of the issue, and supporting photographic evidence where applicable. Approved refunds will be issued to the original method of payment within ten (10) business days following confirmation.
Policy Acceptance
Completion of a retail purchase through the Coral Gables Museum Shop constitutes acceptance of the terms and conditions outlined in this Retail Refund Policy.
