Building a Home: Cardboard Architecture Workshop

May 25 | 11:00 am - 1:00 pm

- $15.00

Join us for an exciting Cardboard Workshop inspired by the innovative architect Shigeru Ban! Led by cardboard and textile artist Kristina Reinis, will introduce participants to the power of what you can create with everyday materials. Discover how this sustainable material can be transformed into remarkable structures!

This engaging workshop will introduce participants to the power of what you can create with everyday materials. Miami-based artist Kristina Reinis will guide participants through building their own mini homes out of cardboard. Reinis, who works primarily with cardboard and textiles, will begin with a demonstration, introducing you to your tools and talk through the endless possibilities of cardboard construction. The remainder of the workshop will be dedicated to building a small cardboard house, cut and hot glued together by you! You are invited to follow a step by step guide or create your own architectural vision with the help of Reinis and the Coral Gables Museum Team. Supplies will be provided, and the workshop is encouraged for ages 12+ due to handling box cutters, hot glue, and scissors.
