Performing this month: Burgundee

Burgundee is a Miami-based group of individuals who found each other through their creative similarities. The 5-piece collective consists of members Beatriz Guzman as vocalist, Victor Sanchez on drums, Juan Moreno on bass, Sergio Zavala on guitar, and Andrew Amengor on keys and trumpet.

Burgundee blends each of the members’ different cultural influences to create their unique blend of funk-rock, R&B, and a touch of jazz. Together with the group’s focus on lyricism and text-painting, Burgundee strives to share their stories in hopes that others are touched by them. Burgundee; like the color. It’s a vibe.

Florida Guitar Foundation’s Open Mic Night in our Community Meeting Room

Do you play guitar? In conjunction with our Twilight Fridays,  Florida Guitar Foundation will be hosting their monthly Open Mic Night in our Community Meeting Room. This event is free and open to the public and all are welcome. Whether you are an enthusiast, a beginner, or just love music, we’d love to see you in the audience!

If you play classical guitar or another similar fingerstyle, we invite you to bring your instrument and get on stage! We have had a lot of great impromptu performances in the past. Our audiences create a supportive, low-pressure environment in which to hone your performance skills or try out that new piece you’ve been working on.
