The Education Department at Coral Gables Museum (CGM) is proud to present a series of cultural programming to our community in partnership with different institutions and organizations. This initiative, called “The Culture Wanderer,” strives to expand the curiosity and sense of wonder regarding the different cultures of our world through art, dance, and music. Let’s grow some culture wanderers.
Mosaic and Spanish Culture Program
Culminating with a trip to Spain in Summer 2021, this program focuses on the cultural richness of a few Spanish cities, emphasizing their Roman influence in architecture and culture in general. Sevilla is included as part of Coral Gables Sister City program and the University of Salamanca will provide university credits for the workshops offered at their institution. Participants will enjoy hands on activities, gastronomic and wine events during the trip. Art workshops with the theme of mosaics and other cultural artifacts will be offered at Coral Gables Museum during the months prior to the trip. MDCPS teachers can obtain Master Plan points through My Learning Plan. For more information contact lili@coralgablesmuseum.org
South Florida Chamber Ensemble (SFCE) presented five interactive, live shows, offered virtually to participants.
