Open to all ages and experience levels, the all-inclusive tour includes a guided tour with a Museum Curator, general admission to all Museum galleries, and a 10% discount at the Museum Store.

Through these magnificent monuments, we will uncover how feudal power, religious devotion, Renaissance innovation, and local craftsmanship shaped a distinct architectural identity that continues to define the Périgord today.

Maia Duschatzky, professional dancer and instructor with Miami Royal Ballet & Dance, leads a one-hour program designed for children ages 6–12. The event includes a 35–40 minute movement workshop tailored to this age group and open to all experience levels, followed by a short live performance featuring young dancers from Miami Royal Ballet & Dance. The session emphasizes foundational technique, coordination, discipline, and expressive movement within a structured learning environment.

Join us for an engaging and insightful lecture exploring the life, artistry, and enduring legacy of one of Florida’s most celebrated painters, A.E. “Bean” Backus.

Join us for this special community engagement opportunity to witness and participate in the creation of an Alfombra de Aserrín—a colorful, hand-crafted sawdust carpet rooted in centuries-old Guatemalan tradition. Participants will work together to design and build the carpet, learning about the cultural meaning and artistic process behind these ephemeral works of art. RSVP required.

The Museum presents a traditional sawdust carpet, or alfombra, from Antigua Guatemala, a Sister City of Coral Gables. Created in situ by master artists from Guatemala, the work reflects a centuries-old Holy Week tradition in which intricate designs are formed from hand-dyed sawdust, flowers, and natural materials. This installation highlights the craftsmanship and symbolic depth of a living cultural practice while underscoring the civic and cultural connection between Coral Gables and Antigua Guatemala through their Sister Cities partnership.

The VIP Reception honors Beanie Backus and His Imprint in South Florida Through the Allen Morris Collection, part of the Museum’s Coral Gables Collects series. The program highlights the role of private collections in shaping the cultural legacy of Coral Gables and South Florida. The evening convenes members, patrons, and lenders in recognition of sustained stewardship, with the reception curated by the Museum’s exclusive caterer, Inspired Events.
