CAPTURE CORAL GABLES 2023
This exhibition showcases the twenty-five finalist works in the photography contest Capture Coral Gables 2023. For the 9th edition of Capture Coral Gables, the exhibit will feature photos from three new special categories that go beyond traditional digital photography.
The selected images capture the pace and dynamics of Coral Gables, a historic city and vibrant cultural hub that attracts people of all ages and interests. They capture picturesque spaces; striking architectural detail; and the playfully fleeting lives of those who live, work, and visit The City Beautiful.
Photo-based artists from different backgrounds, generations, and styles are invited to submit work in one of the following categories: Coral Gables Historical Architecture & Public Art, Urban Life, What Makes Coral Gables Beautiful?, and Coral Gables-At Work. In addition to our four main categories, there will be three special categories that photographers can participate in: Florida on Film, AI Memories of Coral Gables, and The True Coral Gables (Cell-phone photography).
A jury of local photography experts select a winner for each category, as well as a Grand Prize. The public is also invited to vote online for the People’s Choice Award, which will be announced on August 10th at the Closing Reception of the show. At that time, the Museum will also announce the winner of its Acquisition Prize.

Esta exhibición muestra los veinticinco trabajos finalistas en el concurso de fotografía Capture Coral Gables 2023. Para la novena edición de Capture Coral Gables, la exhibición presentará fotos de tres nuevas categorías especiales que van más allá de la fotografía digital tradicional.
Las imágenes seleccionadas capturan el ritmo y la dinámica de Coral Gables, una ciudad histórica y centro cultural vibrante que atrae a personas de todas edades e intereses. Captan espacios pintorescos; llamativo detalle arquitectónico; y las vidas juguetonamente fugaces de aquellos que viven, trabajan y visitan La Ciudad Hermosa.
Se invita a los artistas basados en fotografías de diferentes orígenes, generaciones y estilos a enviar trabajos en una de las siguientes categorías: Arquitectura histórica y arte público de Coral Gables, Vida urbana, ¿Qué hace que Coral Gables sea hermoso?, y Coral Gables-en el trabajo. Además de nuestras cuatro categorías principales, habrá tres categorías especiales en las que los fotógrafos pueden participar: Florida on Film, AI Memories of Coral Gables y The True Coral Gables (fotografía con teléfono celular).
Un jurado de expertos locales en fotografía selecciona un ganador para cada categoría, y tambien un Gran Premio. El público igual está invitado a votar en nuestro sitio de web por el premio People’s Choice, que se anunciará el 10 de agosto en la recepción de clausura de la exhibicion. En ese momento, el Museo también anunciará el ganador de su Premio de Adquisición.
